I'm Finally Back - Enjoy my loooooong blog entry

So much has happened since my last entry! Sheesh. Where did the summer go? I have many, many Fest pics I could attach here. Not sure what is allowed! LOL! I'll post them in my next entry since this appears to only allow 5 pics per blog entry. I had my 20-year class reunion and had an absolute blast with some girlfriends at the family cottage a few days before and then had an even better time at the actual reunion! What fun and great to see everyone again! Then, went to a Brewer game in August with our group of friends - an annual event (see pic on next blog entry) and spent most of our weekends at the cottage too. I think we were home maybe 2-3 weekends only, and that was at the beginning of the summer when we had to attend graduation parties. It's nice to be back HOME and to spend a little time on the computer again. Keith is now into the bow hunting season and soon will be gun hunting! Then it will be xmas before we know it! Again, where does the time go? Tyler started First Grade this year and is learning to read. I love these days. He's so interested in reading. It's great. Sami memorizes his reading books, so she thinks she can read now too! LOL! Damn funny. She just had her 4th birthday. Missed the 4K cut off by 10 days, so still in her Preschool room. Happy Labor Day!!

Hello All!
I hope this finds you having a relaxing labor day weekend as it comes to an end. I know I sure am!
I have a little information I'd like to pass along everyone's way. As some of you may know, I am in the process of planning my parents 25th wedding anniversary party for next June. Their anniversary is on the 16th, which falls on a Tuesday, so the party will be on Saturday June 20th, 2009. It will be held in Marshfield at the Jr. Expo Building at the Fairgrounds. It holds 700 people so there will be plenty of room. It also comes with a kitchen and restrooms, which is a major plus. I will also be saving a block of rooms at either 1 or 2 hotels here in Marshfield for those traveling from out of town. Food and drink will be provided, as well as some sort of entertainment. I am in the process of finding a reasonable dj in the area, however, my grandfather said he'd cover this portion...so hmmmm?? :) Any suggestions, let me know!! Also, I know this was a long time ago, but if any of you can remember the song that they first danced to or any songs that would be good to play, let me know and I will start a list.

Anyway, that's all for now! Mark your calenders!! And if you guys could let others in your family know who aren't participating in this blog, that would be greatly appreciated. :) Invites will be sent out mid-April or so.

Hot Beef anyone?

We just returned yesterday from Mike's fastpitch world tournament in Appleton, WI. We stayed in our pop up camper along the banks of Lake Winnebago in Calumet County park. On the way home, we stopped in Abbottsford, and Mike and I both had a hot beef at Duke's. It was nice to finally satisfy my curiosity about the sandwich, since I didn't have one when we were in Duke's following Jay and Tami's wedding.

Tomorrow, Annalise and I will join up with Mike and Bennett, who are already down in Mankato, MN for the NAFA world tournament. Then the next weekend, Mike is playing in another tournament with a different team, and then we are DONE with fastball for the year. Which is good, because I don't want to be traveling to parts unknown and far away when this baby decides to join us.

We had one really huge rain storm on Friday night. The boys.... Steven, Jeff (Jamie's guy) and Mark (Jeff's brother) went slip and sliding thru the campsites and in the big mud hole in nothing but their shorts.

As you can see, we have a good time at the fest. There were no fights this year amazingly enough, although Allie was drunk almost every night and baptized the bumper once. The weather was great. We had fun with the first-timers this year too. I think they will all be back next year, so start saving those quarters kiddies.

Catch you all later. Going to Mezzeppa Mn. for the weekend with friends and I had better go get some sleep. Could be a long weekend. Jamie, thanks for watching Calvin.

The kids had a great time. (Tyler, Dylan, Sami and Lydia) It was nice to see Tom and Barb again. It had been awhile. We still need to try and get everyone together sometime for a big party weekend. With all of the little kids, and the big ones too, we could have a lot of fun.

Eric and Gwen put on a great party. The hawaiian theme was a big hit with everyone. That is so them. Also, I should add a picture sometime of Eric with his suit jacket on over the top.

I want to see pictures! I heard Allie took a picture of Mom and Dad in their Hawaiian finery to post on the blog- Mom kept pointing out how they're the "older generation" when she was telling me about the wedding.

Green Bay was nice- softball competition was fierce, but camping weather was perfect. More on that later.
