Eric snoozing like usual during every late night concert. If that isn't Grandpa Jerry...... You can do anything to Eric when he snoozes.

We had one really huge rain storm on Friday night. The boys.... Steven, Jeff (Jamie's guy) and Mark (Jeff's brother) went slip and sliding thru the campsites and in the big mud hole in nothing but their shorts.

Jay and Tami looking good. How do you forget your Hawaiian shirt, Jay? You know that it is a ritual every year to wear it one night.

Mark (Jeff's brother), Kelli (Mark's fiance and Jamie's best friend), Jamie and Jeff (Jamie's guy) looking pretty darn good in their dresses and Hawaiian shirts. Mark borrowed Steve's shirt for the evening and yes Scott, the dress was worn.

As you can see, we have a good time at the fest. There were no fights this year amazingly enough, although Allie was drunk almost every night and baptized the bumper once. The weather was great. We had fun with the first-timers this year too. I think they will all be back next year, so start saving those quarters kiddies.

Catch you all later. Going to Mezzeppa Mn. for the weekend with friends and I had better go get some sleep. Could be a long weekend. Jamie, thanks for watching Calvin.

Wedding/Country Fest 2008

Remember the good ole days when Mom would line us up for family pictures??!!??

The kids had a great time. (Tyler, Dylan, Sami and Lydia) It was nice to see Tom and Barb again. It had been awhile. We still need to try and get everyone together sometime for a big party weekend. With all of the little kids, and the big ones too, we could have a lot of fun.

Eric and Gwen put on a great party. The hawaiian theme was a big hit with everyone. That is so them. Also, I should add a picture sometime of Eric with his suit jacket on over the top.

I will add more pictures of our Country Fest adventure later. I have to get ready for work. Hope all is well with everyone.

Congratulations!

I want to see pictures! I heard Allie took a picture of Mom and Dad in their Hawaiian finery to post on the blog- Mom kept pointing out how they're the "older generation" when she was telling me about the wedding.

Green Bay was nice- softball competition was fierce, but camping weather was perfect. More on that later.

Happy Birthday Annalise!

I realized I forgot to wish my firstborn a happy 4th birthday in a timely manner. She had many birthday celebrations, with grandparents on both sides, as well as her first friend party- she had four guests come for an art party where they decorated ceramic planters and played outside.
I'm going to have to stay on top of things like this, especially when we become a family of five in November! I'm sorry we won't get to see all of you at Eric and Gwen's, to show off my big belly! Mike has a tournament in Green Bay that he'd already committed to, unfortunately.

We've got a PhD in the family!

Mom and Dad, Mike and the kids and I went to Madison last week for Bridget's thesis defense. She did a great job- very calm, spoke clearly and slowly, and I actually understood her whole presentation. After her presentation, she went behind closed doors with her committee, where they grilled her, and eventually bestowed upon her the honor of Doctor of Philosophy. Then we were invited to the nerd party where we had cake and champagne in a lab. The kids really liked being at college. Bridget and Steve had friends come over to watch M, B, and A while we went out for dinner with our family and Steve's parents.

Congratulations, Dr. Bridget T. J-F!!! We're proud of you!
