Wow!

I was so excited to see new posts on the blog, after I finally got my computer up and running again. Mike forgot to tell me that he unplugged my cable modem in order to plug in his radio while working on our basement remodel!! aahrrhhgghgh!

Now the next thing you old farts have to learn is how to post pictures. When you're writing a post, just click the little button that looks like a picture (three from the right), and upload your photo.

I didn't realize that you were a fisherwoman Allie! Mike and I both got our licenses this summer, but it is so hard to fish, unless we can get someone to watch the kids. We should get Samantha and Annalise together in their plastic princess dress up shoes. It is amazing how she knew how to walk in them instantly- pretty impressive!

Hello All!

First, I have to say that I have been crying since I logged on and saw the note at the bottom of the page, "In loving memory of Art, Aggie, Jan & Duane". You are so wonderful, Katie, to have thought of this. I can't tell you enough how super this is and I am so glad you took on this project. You are a blogging Goddess! I miss all of you guys so much and wish we could get together as often as we did when we were kids! I can't walk through Wildwood Park with my kids without thinking of Grandpa Art driving us through and how we would always stick our arms out of the car to grab the leaves as we drove by the trees! How funny!

As for my family, Tyler turned 5 in May and just started Kindergarten. He is loving it. He has a temper like his aunt Leigh, but we love him all the same. He loves to swim and run around the back yard. He especially loves to fish (as Mike can attest to that - check out Jocko's blog at http://www.wsaw.com/ and then view the Brag Board!). We go to the Wein cottage (on Spirit Lake near Rib Lake - an hour away) a lot during the summer and fish as often as we can. Tyler caught a sunfish this summer, and we have not ever seen one on Spirit Lake as long as I have been going there, so it was great! Even Leigh fished with us one weekend and she caught a 15 inch bass. It was cool. Anyway, Samantha just turned 3 on 9/10/07 and is attending the daycare at the Clinic/Hospital. She will move into the Preschool wing within the next 6 months. She is our "big girl". She can now reach the handle to the screen door by using her tip toes to get into the house. That was a real feat for her and was accomplished on her 3rd birthday, so she thinks she is great now! And she walks around in those goofy plastic "princess" dress up shoes and looks like she's going to break an ankle. It's so darn cute! As for Keith, he has been a salesperson for Marshfield Book & Stationery now for 3 years, even though he's been there for a total of 22 yrs. He covers the Northwest quarter of the State - and he even sees Leigh's ex-husband every now & then. Her ex is still a dork (Leigh paid me to say that!). I have been working at the Clinic now for 8 years, and as of October 2006, I am the Immigration Specialist. I help all of our foreign staff obtain their work authorization and visas. It's been fun meeting and getting to know so many different people from all over the World. I'm still part of the Legal Dept., which keeps growing in leaps and bounds. We have 10 attorneys altogether and are in the process of hiring one more! It's crazy! And as for fun things to do...Keith is getting into gear for the hunting season. Bow hunting (deer) started last weekend, and he gun hunts too. And of course, we both FISH! We even took a day off this summer, sans the kids, and went up to the cottage for a day to fish - just the two of us, like old times. Needless to say, we caught NOTHING!!! And we really did fish! It was pathetic!

I just want to say that I hope we can all get together soon! I would even be willing to host a get-together at Christmas, like old times! What do you all say? BYOB! I love you all! Thank you again, Katie, for coming up with such a wonderful idea! You are the best stay-at-home mom I know, and I do really know a lot!

Hello Family

Ok, I am finally on. It took me all day to figure it out, but now I am here. I'm old, we don't use the computer well like you young whipper snappers.

Jamie will be glad to know that we (Leigh, Scott & Barb and Steve) took Spike (Andy) out the Gianaselli's for his 17th birthday tonight. I hope that sits well for the evening, as I haven't had good food for a few days. Don't worry, I'll make it up to you and we can go do mexican some night.

I think this is great. Neat way to chat with the whole group and keep tabs on what's up.

If you haven't heard, I had a little unexpected surgery on last Sat. morning. Am home now and will be resting and catching up on the Young and the Restless. Like Allie put it, I have now joined the c-section club, except my scar line goes the wrong way. She has also told me that my house is starting to smell like the funeral home with all the flowers. Man, I can't win.

Mike Jacko, I am upset that the one night I actually stayed awake to watch the news, you weren't on. I was going to brag you up to the nurses. How have you been and has that Madison house sold yet?

Katie, you suck. Being a stay at home mom must be a blast. Sure wish I could stay home.

Well, I should go for now. I will check on the latest gossip again soon.

Leigh

Katie, this is such a great idea!! Hopefully more of our family joins! I explained what blogging is all about to my dad, so hopefully he gets on here.
I was looking at your family blog and your children are adorable!! I hope we can all get together soon. It's been so long since we've all seen each other. I would love to plan a family reunion for this next summer. Maybe around Dairyfest??
I am in my third year of college, it's going by way too fast. I did two years of elementary education at Fox Valley Tech and UW Stevens Point. I decided that it wasn't really for me so I'm going to do Nursing, however there is quite a wait list at the technical college. So in the meantime I am doing Phlebotomy. I really enjoy it, so far! I live in Stevens Point with 4 other girls and it's a blast, but at the same time I am so homesick. Marshfield is only 40 miles away, but I just miss my family so much! And my boyfriend, Jeff. We've been dating for 2 years now. He farms with his brother on their family farm and just bought a house himself, so that's been exciting. Remodeling is so much fun, yet alot of work!
Steven graduated this past year and is taking the year off to work and save money. He plans to go on to school for construction. Andrew is a junior in High School this year and plans to join the Marines, but I pray he changes his mind. My mom is still in the Birth Center at St. Josephs and loves it. And my dad is still at Automated Products.
Again, this is such a great idea. I hope to hear from everyone else! Take care! :)

Here we go!

I'll be the first to post to our new family blog. I've been blogging for about two years, and have found that it's been a great way to keep in touch with family and friends, from near and far. My family's blog is located at: www.frofamilyblog.blogspot.com. Here's an update on the Frodermanns: Mike is still working in commercial finance, and has been playing fastpitch softball with as many teams as will take him on as a teammate. One of his teams was in the championship game at the NAFA World Series in Des Moines, and received second place in the tournament overall. I am a full time mom for the time being, having last worked as a physician assistant in neurosurgery before having Annalise in April 2004. I had to take the board exam about two weeks ago (PAs need to recertify every 6 years), so I was busy this summer with a review course in Chicago, and a horrific Labor Day weekend of solitary confinement (my exam was on September 5th). The reason I say I'm a stay at home mom for the time being, is that the review course got me back in the mode, and I might explore at least some part time work. But I'm having way too much fun watching my babies bloom to go back full time right now.

Annalise is almost 3 1/2, and she started preschool this month. She goes to Little Flowers Montessori, and it is looking to be a perfect fit for her. We are so happy with how much she loves school. Bennett is 18 months, and his most recent accomplishment of note is WALKING! He is a pretty sturdy pedestrian, but he'd better be after stressing Mommy out for so long as an advanced crawler. Now he needs to get his vocabulary revved up!

Well, that's it for now. I'm anxious to hear how all of you are doing, and to see pictures of your little ones, or cabins/dogs/birthday cakes, whatever you want to show off! I'm fairly confident I don't have everyone's email addresses, so please forward any missing addresses to me. Thanks!
