Christmas 2010 & Happy New Year Wishes

Well, here we are again, at the end of another fun-filled year. I hope 2010 was as good to you as it was to us. Not only did we welcome a new addition, Reggie, to the Wein family, but as you can see, our Scheibe family Christmas event is growing as well. This year, we were lucky enough to have Lucas, Jamie & Adam Schulz join us. Welcome! Maybe next year, Randy, Amanda & Colton Thilgen (Gwen's grandson was born a few weeks ago) will be able to join us too. Eric is blessed to have such a wonderful family and we are so happy they have become a part of our extended family as well. Eric's still a goof ball and as anal as hell, but we do love him so! Doesn't he look like Uncle Duane in the one picture??? December has been busy. Sami had her first Christmas concert. Kindergarten is going well. Tyler went ice fishing with Keith for the first time and caught some nice blue gills. Grandpa Art would be proud. Tyler is doing well in the 3rd grade too. Overall, everyone is doing well. We're all healthy and happy. And that is what counts most. We really do enjoy being together and there's always something or someone to make us laugh. There are so many old memories shared each time we get together and I'm constantly telling my kids about things that we all did when we gathered together at the Scheibe house for the holidays in the olden days! Wishing you all a blessed, happy & healthy 2011! Keep in touch!

Wein Update

As I was lying in Sami's bed earlier tonite, I couldn't help but think about the olden days when we'd have our Christmas family get-togethers at the Scheibe house in Marshfield. Those were the days, weren't they? As I was lying there, I started counting how many of us there would be at a gathering if we had one today. I came up with about 50 people altogether! Now what would Janice say about something like that?!?!? tee hee - it brought back so many fond memories! I don't know what possessed me to start thinking about everyone, but it prompted me to get to the computer to tell everyone "hello". I hope everyone is happy and healthy and that things are going well for everyone.

It's been a while since our last post. The summer went by so quickly. Tyler was busy with baseball. His team took 2nd place in the annual Hewitt baseball tournament in the beginning of August. I can't say for sure if he plays like a "Mike Frodermann", but he gives it his best. Sami was busy with her gymnastics. She's always doing cartwheels and handstands. She's even advanced to flips on the couch. Nice! She's a little more coordinated than her mother, that's for sure!

We went to the Wein cottage a lot this summer and fished and tubed like crazy. Stopped to take Tyler's picture on the side of the road once too. Tyler won a pellet gun earlier in the Spring and has already killed several chipmunks and a rabbit. Quite the sharp shooter. We even spent some time at Uncle Eric's cottage shooting at cans. Again, what would Janice say???

Reggie loves the cottage too because he can chase chipmunks and squirrels. He's been such a wonderful addition to our family and we love him so much. Sami, a little more than the rest of us sometimes, but she'll learn to leave him alone eventually!

The kids started school on September 1st, Sami in Kindergarten and Tyler in Third Grade. Tyler also started football with the Marshfield Area Youth Football league in August. It's been a lot of fun. He's learning to be a lot more responsible this year and has grown up quite a bit. It's amazing what going back to school full-time can do to you! And to the pocketbook! EGADS!

Keith and I are doing well. Staying busy with work and the kids. Nothing really changes in our world.

Hoping everyone else is doing well. Looking forward to seeing everyone sometime soon! Keep in touch. Be safe!

Love to you all!

Engagement photos?

I read on FB that you love your engagement photos, Jamie. I'd love to see them!
Have a great weekend, all! I am going to yoga tomorrow morning, and Mike is going to the Gophers game in the afternoon. Otherwise, not much planned. Maybe some backsplash tiling. How about you?

Back to School

Just wanted to say the kids' school years are off to a successful start. Annalise is really enjoying first grade. She likes riding the bus, and tells us in detail about the games they play in phy ed. She does NOT like to eat hot lunch. I hope it grows on her.
Bennett is going half days to pre-K. He is still an afternoon napper. He is learning how to read, which is so fun to see/hear.
Colin starts ECFE tomorrow morning. It will be fun to hear Mike's take on things, since I was the one to take the other two to ECFE. My baby is growing up so quickly!
I'll add some pictures soon.

How's school going for the cousins?

Mark your calendar...again!

CONGRATULATIONS to Steve and Shari! They got engaged in the Dells on August 20th! So get ready for another Scheibe wedding in the near future. They are thinking 2012 or 2013, after they both graduate from college! Woo hoo! Can't wait! :)

Less than a year to go for me now...can't wait to see you all! Enjoy what's left of the summer!

Love,
Jamie

First Communion, Cabin and Memorial Day Parade

Spring time in Marshfield. Tyler celebrated his First Communion in May. Calvin at my house and out in the marsh mud. Reggie the night of the garage sale. He liked Tracy's Old Fashion. Sorry Allie.... :-) Memorial Day Weekend at the Wein cottage. Tyler and Sami always have a good time there, and especially when the cousins Abby, Emma and Austin are there too. Reggie was pooped from the long day and was belly up on the pontoon. I took the 2 boys out fishing and got slapped in the face by a fish, fixed a few lines from tree and stump fishing (we call that Allie fishing), and Ty got me in the leg with his hook when the fish flew off from pulling too hard. Overall, we had a great time.
Andrew marched in the Memorial Day Parade with the color guard. Doesn't he look spiffy?
Take care all.... Leigh

Hello, all!

Hi, everyone! Hoping all is well with the Jacques families!

FYI, if anyone is interested, June Dairyfest is June 4-6th. Eric & Gwen are coming for the weekend. If anyone else is interested in getting together then in Mfld, just let me know. I know it's short notice, but sometimes things are more fun when they aren't planned! LOL! Like my only two pregnancies, for instance! tee hee - just kidding! Looking forward to hearing from some of you! Love you! - Allie

You can't beat this for cuteness!

Mother's Day Picnic at Minnehaha Falls

Bridget told us to all close our eyes and open them when the picture is taken- only she looks good!
