Scheibe Christmas 2009

Scheibe's all gathered the weekend before Christmas for a little family time. We went bowling on Saturday afternoon and then spent the night over at Allie and Keith's having dinner and opening gifts. Andrew surprised us with his presence, as it was his drill weekend and we thought we'd miss him. Check out the awesome poses as people tossed their rocks down the alley. Jamie's boyfriend, Jeff, and Sami have a special bond. He sits on her lap every now and then. She was pretending to be Santa and was asking him what he wanted for Christmas. Sorry Jeff, she said no to the combine, cows and every other farm thing you asked for. Eric received a new fur coat to go with his coat collection. Gwen became an honorary girl scout member after being kicked out as a kid and even took the oath. Steven and Shari appear to have had enough to eat. Fun time was had by all and hopefully we can get all of the cousins together again this summer for a reunion. Love the old times we used to share!!! Take care everyone and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with your families.
Love you all,
Leigh

Merry Christmas from the FroderFive!

We're really looking forward to our first Christmas in our new home. We wish all of you a wonderful Christmas, and a very happy 2010. Will someone send me one of Aunt Jan's green corn flake wreath cookies? I always loved those. This time of year especially makes me think of, and miss Grandma and Grandpa, Jan, and Dewey. Merry Christmas to all of you from our little family.

Sending Christmas Wishes to My Family

Hello, family! Wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas & happy New Year! I hope all is well with everyone! Staying healthy & happy?!?! We have been doing well. Tyler is halfway through the 2nd grade! Hard to believe. He's reading like crazy & I can't write reminder notes to myself or Keith regarding private issues anymore without him reading it! Tyler had his Christmas concert last night at school and it was wonderful. Sami is in the 4K program right at her daycare center, which is so convenient, and seems excited to go to Kindergarten next year. She's actually turn 6 within days of being in Kindergarten with that early September birthday, but she would not have been ready for Kindergarten this year. They are both spitting images of their parents, if you can believe it! Funny characters! Keith is doing well too. Nothing new with the two of us, really. I am not working 50/50 for the Marshfield Clinic & Security Health Plan (immigration & contracts). Always busy. The day doesn't end at 5:00 either! Always swim lessons, gymnastics or dance, CCD or volleyball (for me or Keith). I can't imagine how my mother did this with 5 children! I only have 2! Anyway, sending you our love this holiday season! Take care, everyone! XOXO - Keith, Allie, Tyler & Sami

**South Carolina...

Hello All-

Here are some pictures from our recent trip to South Carolina to watch Andrew graduate from Basic Training! We had a blast!! So much to do...so little time was our moto!

Scott, Andrew, & Barb...she might kill me for putting this on here...the first day we were there we got soaked and everyone had a bad hair day! :) Andrew is in here somewhere...there were 1200 soldiers who graduated that day...
Folly Beach, just outside of Charleston

Steven, Andrew, and Scott playing football...surprisingly Steven got back in the water after being stung by a jellyfish.

Summer Fun

I am convinced that only in WI (and maybe MN too) can you experience all four seasons in one day! What a crazy summer we've been having. The kids have been swimming like crazy in a pool we have in the backyard, even though it's never really be that warm. They've even gotten creative and will attach the hose to the playset and make their own water slide! There's nothing they won't try, at least once! We've been heading to the cottage a lot. Done lots of fishing and boating and just hanging out with family. We really enjoyed seeing everyone at Scott & Barb's anniversary party. What fun! Countryfest was a blast again, as usual. I'm off to the Pre-season Packer game today with a group of girlfriends. We have a trip scheduled to Milwaukee at the end of the month with the kids - off to the zoo and then to a Brewer game. Back home in time for the kids to start school. Tyler will be in 2nd grade and Sami is starting 4K this year. My pocketbook is saying THANK YOU as my daycare bill will now be cut in HALF!! Yes, HALF! OMG, Mama's going to buy a new pair of shoes!! REALLY! Other than all that, life at the Wein household is pretty normal, uneventful and joyously boring! What about you guys!!? Anything new going on? And Katie, you don't have to answer! I've been reading your blog! OMG! I'd be in a nuthouse by now! But welcome back to the World of the Working! :) We've missed you! LOL!

Wishing everyone a great rest of the summer! Take care all and keep in touch!

Wildwood Zoo, Present Day and Flashback

After breakfast on Sunday morning, we drove through the Wildwood Zoo. It sure brought back a lot of memories! I told the kids about feeding the buffalo with Grandpa. Of course now, there are two fences between us and the animals (darn lawyers), but we still had a great time seeing the animals up close, and doing something that Mom used to do.

Kudos to the wearer of the blue mesh top and short short jean shorts! Anyone remember being the proud fashionista?
