The progression of the dollhouse transformation. Sami has been give my dollhouse that Grandpa Art made for me in 1968 or 1969. I have to read the bottom again. It has been repainted and new flooring has been added, as well as some new furniture. Allie still has the old stuff though. One room was made just for Sami, it is her Swamp Splash green like her bedroom. The red window trim is Tyler's room. The purple bathroom was Allie's bathroom, but it isn't anymore.
The blue bedroom is from my house as well as the cream livingroom. Pink kitchen was an after thought of Allie's that didn't ever become, but she had a bucket of paint. Janet suggested the gray for the house.
We walked thru the Rotary Winter Wonderland at the park one night. Thousands of lights and decorations. Pretty neat.
Christmas at Keith and Allie's. Played toys for 12 hours. Wiskers the cat is my friend. Don't step on her tail (Allie) or she hisses at you. Had a great time that day. Thanks Weins.
Happy New Year to all of you.
Leigh

December Chit Chat

Merry Christmas Everyone! If you've learned anything in the past year, it has to be that Allie takes her camera EVERYWHERE! Here are some more photos of my goofy family! This is Sami wearing one of her many pretty dresses! And of course, the diva in her Glory, tiara and all! We went rollerstaking the Friday after Thanksgiving - I hadn't been on skates in almost 30 years! It was so much fun. Our kids have always loved to try new things and we have so much fun just doing things on the spur of a moment! Thus, the reason I carry my camera in my purse! Also above is toothless Tyler. All he wants for Xmas are his two front teeth, literally! Keith & Tyler recently spent several weekends remodeling our main bathroom. What a treat to have that project finished! Tyler has had quite the school year thus far, learning to read. He's doing so well! I guess that means that Uncle Jay can no longer spell out words when visiting (he always tries to keep things secret from Lydia & Dylan - funny shit!) cuz Tyler is a pretty good speller already! Here we are tonite, acting goofy in front of the Charlie Brown tree. The damn thing was cut down (yes, by hand!) on 12/6 and is already loosing most of its needles (atleast I don't dig through dumpsters in back alleys trying to find a tree like the Frodermanns! Just kidding!) I don't think it's going to last 'til the Scheibe Family Xmas the weekend of January 2-4 (you are all more than welcome to stop by Allie's if you are interested in some old fashioned family fun!). And of course, I had to slip the photo of Tyler & Leigh in there from our trip to Wildwood Park a week or so ago. It's called Winter Wonderland and they decorate the park with thousands of xmas lights. It's beautiful! I've officially taken my first FULL WEEK of vacation this week! It's only been 20+ years since graduating from high school and I've never taken a full week of vacation! I shopped from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. today! I could have shopped another 10 hours! And I HATE shopping! LOL! Well, enough about me...what's going on in all of your lives??? Anyone else out there having babies like the Jacques sisters??? Gwen??? Leigh??? tee hee - just kidding! Merry Christmas to you all! Sending you all our love! XOXO! - Allie & the Family

Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! Since it looks like I won't get around to sending out Christmas cards this year, I figured I should at least blog! This really should be the year I send out cards since we are in a new state and new house, with new jobs and a new baby coming soon. So you will all be definitely getting mail from me sometime soon when I send out birth announcements. After 7 years in Madison, we moved to Richfield, MN in July. I'm working at a research job at the U of MN now and it's going pretty well so far. Maren is 2 and a half and she is pretty excited about getting a baby sister, but she really doesn't know what she's in for... She's in the stage where she tries to make a funny face in every picture - at least her fingers aren't in her mouth in this one!

If you'd like my address, feel free to email me at jacquebt at umn dot edu. Sorry about spelling the email out in that strange way, I just am paranoid that I could get crazy random things in my inbox otherwise! This blog is pretty popular, right?

Hope you all enjoy your holidays!
Love, Bridget

addresses

Dad's is 2416 N. Peach #5

Leigh's is 610 E. 9th st.

The question is, what is Bridget's?
Does she know the sex of the baby?

And another..

Mom told me that Jerry lives in Leigh's apartment building. His return address is Peach Ave; the address I have for Leigh is 9th St. So what's Leigh's address? You can email me the answers...

Question:

Are Mike and Carol still at their Madison address?

Colin August

I guess I'll have to post, if Allie doesn't remember my baby's name! Colin August was born on November 11th (Bridget's birthday) at 9 pm. Take a look at my other blog for his stats and more pictures!
We're doing alright, since Mike's gone back to work. Bennett is going through a rough patch, it's hard to tell if it's just adjusting to the baby, or if he was going to be like this anyway because of where he is developmentally. This too shall pass...
Right now I'm blocking out his hysterics regarding Moon Sand. Take care all!

Happy December!

Yea...it's snowing today! I really do like snow - when it is falling so nice & slowly & looks so pretty. Then you have to shovel and the whole beauty of it ends! tee hee - plus I have a sore neck today from sleeping on the crappy pillow I have...maybe Santa Claus will bring me a new one. Cuz you know, I watched "Polar Express" last night, and I COULD HEAR THE BELL AT THE END OF THE MOVIE!! So I truly DO believe!! :) DORK...I know! Wishing you all a very merry Christmas! Our Xmas cards will be out soon. The real reason I'm on the blog is to find the name of Katie's new baby...I forgot it already. I know it starts with a "C" though! LOL! Love to you all! Take care...and come one...POST SOME BLOGS FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!

Another Fine Day!

Hello All

I survived my day with Tyler and Sami.

They were really good and actually wore clothes all day.

We went shopping in the morning, built forts out of blankets,

ate McDonald's (ummm.... you know how much my stomach

likes McD's.???? NO!!) Sami took a half hour nap in the fort

while I showed Tyler some computer games. We read books.

And before you know it, Allie was home.

Anyway, we had fun and there was no trouble at all. I told you I can handle the little darlings.
We will have to do it again.

What's New Everyone?

Bucky says that Leigh had a great time at the Badger game on Saturday with her friends. Of course, it took way to long to win....more excitement that way I guess. It was cool that they finished the game in our end zone.

Had a nice meal at the Hilltop in St. Point after the game.

No big plans for Thanksgiving. Have to start my Christmas shopping. Calvin wants those chicken treats for Christmas. They are on his list. Yes, the expensive ones. He has good taste. Not to mention he is spoiled.
Really had a good time on our Packer adventure to Nashville. Have to go back to that city sometime and see the sights.
Please pray for me, as I am taking Ty and Sami on Friday for the day. No, really.. we will be fine. I can control them!!! I'm not kidding either. I helped Tyler make his checker boards on Sunday morning. He did a nice job of cutting circles. Aunt Leigh taught him a few tricks. Hopefully, I can keep them dressed for the day. They like to parade around in their underwear. Even after I told them , what if there was a fire? It didn't phase them. Tyler said he'd run to get his clothes on. What a bunch of goof balls.
Catch you all later. Someone please write a few messages on here.
Leigh and Calvin

Have you ever been kicked out of church??

OMG! How can these two little stinkers survive a night like tonite? I could have killed both of them! I've never been so embarrased and angry! I will NEVER take either one of them to church with me again. That's what I get for thinking I could accomplish that feat while Keith was gun hunting! What was I thinking!?!? I must have had a moment of insanity! Good thing it was church. That was the only thing saving those two! I'll be ok in a few hours!

Belated Halloween Greetings from the Weins

Happy belated Halloween, everyone! Here are our Fairy and our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (Raphael). They had a lot of fun and trick-or-treated for over an hour in our neighborhood, then went to one of our close friend's house where they obtained tons more candy, ate pizza and drank rootbeer, and eventually "swam" in the hottub! What a fun-filled evening we had. Other than that, nothing else new here. Just spending a nice, quiet Sunday watching the Packers hopefully KICK the Vikings. Contemplating going bowling shortly too. Hope all is well with everyone else!

What's Everyone Being for Halloween?

I'm hoping to still be pregnant on Halloween. I'm thinking about wearing my graduation gown, and being a nun- I have to make a habit now. Annalise is going as Madeline, and Bennett is going to be a wizard. I got their costumes long ago, as I did not want to be without costumes, and have a week old baby too! Take care everyone!

Here are the kids in 2007... (I was a good mom, and made their costumes last year!)

Game Pics

Hello,
Here are a couple of pictures from this summer with friends.
The stooges go golfing.....we always play in a benefit golf tourney
together, (actually 2) but this year Patsy Cline forgot to get off work...she's the bank President for god's sake, cmon. So, Pam filled in for her. (Leigh, Goose.. aka Connie, Pam and Ace...aka Ann)
We all went to the Packer Pre-season game against the Titans.
(Goose, Allie, Patsy and Leigh)
Yes, #16 jumped into our laps at the game. Very coooooolllll......If you ever tape the games, you can see our family sitting in the 3rd. row.
Allie and Leigh.... Keep in mind that we were drinking

beer for awhile. Allie more than Leigh. Leigh doesn't

drink much and she was driving anyway.

The Final Blog of the Summer - Fall Begins This Week! UGH!

Ok, I think this is the last blog entry...Megan, shown here at her Bachelorette Party in August, who is my good friend's (Sandy Berg whom always goes to Fest with us) daughter, was married on Sept. 13th (Keith's bday too). I've known Megan since 1996 (she was only 10 when we met), so I felt like my own daughter was being married. It was beautiful!! Here are the Wein Women enjoying yet another pontoon ride with our lovely Father-in-law. He's such a LUCKY guy! LOL! And yes, I'm the black sheep of that family too...believe it or not! Here's also another pic of Sami on the boat, trying to keep the sun out of her eyes! And then, finally...two Fest pics: Jay & I and then the Scheibe Women - WE ROCK! Even if we're drunk! LOL! With all that being said (in these three blogs!), it appears that we've had an enjoyable summer! And we have! I hope you all have had as much fun as we have! I hope everyone is happy and healthy! Take care and keep in touch! Much love to you all! - Keith, Allie, Tyler & Sami

Needed a 2nd Entry - it's been soooooo long! LOL!

More Pics - Our family on the 4th of July - kicking back having our usual backyard bonfire, the kids on the pontoon during one of our cottage weekends, Keith & Allie at the Brewer game (nice Brat!) (oh, and boy, have the Brewers taken a nose dive lately or what!?! WTH? I'd rather watch paint dry!), Tyler with is 5 stitches from a rough day at the playground - the jungle gym won! And yet, I'm still not done posting pics! I could do this all night! LOL!

I'm Finally Back - Enjoy my loooooong blog entry

So much has happened since my last entry! Sheesh. Where did the summer go? I have many, many Fest pics I could attach here. Not sure what is allowed! LOL! I'll post them in my next entry since this appears to only allow 5 pics per blog entry. I had my 20-year class reunion and had an absolute blast with some girlfriends at the family cottage a few days before and then had an even better time at the actual reunion! What fun and great to see everyone again! Then, went to a Brewer game in August with our group of friends - an annual event (see pic on next blog entry) and spent most of our weekends at the cottage too. I think we were home maybe 2-3 weekends only, and that was at the beginning of the summer when we had to attend graduation parties. It's nice to be back HOME and to spend a little time on the computer again. Keith is now into the bow hunting season and soon will be gun hunting! Then it will be xmas before we know it! Again, where does the time go? Tyler started First Grade this year and is learning to read. I love these days. He's so interested in reading. It's great. Sami memorizes his reading books, so she thinks she can read now too! LOL! Damn funny. She just had her 4th birthday. Missed the 4K cut off by 10 days, so still in her Preschool room. I'll attach some photos now. Hoping everyone is doing well. Take care.
